MINOXIDIL-FINASTERIDE TOPICAL NANOEMULSION
•Water based formulation (oil-in-water nanoemulsion)
•No propylene glycol, about 6% of alcohol
•Prepared by dilution of self-nanoemulsifying composition
•Droplet size – about 20 nm
•Drug loading: Minoxidil – 2 and 4%, Finasteride – 0.5, 0.25% or 0.1% •Minoxidil association with oil droplets: 40-60%
•Finasteride association with oil droplets: 97-100%
•Room temperature (RT) – stable •Refrigerated (+4oC) – stable
•Particle size and size distribution – stable
Visible effect (hair growth improvement) – in 8-10 weeks instead of 4-8 months
